Imagine Dragons Reveal The Cover Of 4th LP, ‘Origins’
When Imagine Dragons unleashed “Natural” in July, most of us thought it was going to be a stand-along single. Or perhaps new content from a deluxe edition of Evolve. After all, that album was still riding high in the charts and churning out hits. It turns out, the biggest rock band in the world had other ideas. The guys are moving straight on to album number four. Origins arrives on November 9 and picks up where their last opus left off. “It feels like a sister album to Evolve, it kind of completes the cycle to us,” Dan Reynolds reveals in the album trailer (below).
“It’s about seeking new ground but also appreciating your roots,” the frontman further elaborates in the press release. “When we create, we create with no boundaries, no rules. We find it thrilling to make music that feels different and new to us.” Their sonic journey could take some unexpected twists and turns if the lineup of producers is any indication. Imagine Dragons hit the studio with Joel Little (best known for his work with Lorde), John Hill (frequent Florence + The Machine collaborator) and pop hitmakers Mattman & Robin (they have crafted hits for Selena Gomez).
