Vegas Queen: Britney Spears Announces Her ‘Domination’ Residency

The Queen of Vegas will reclaim her throne in 2019. Today (October 18), Britney Spears traveled to Las Vegas to finally make the announcement she teased on The Ellen Show. “I have a huge announcement to make,” she gushed in a segment last Friday. “My announcement is that I have an announcement. I can’t announce it until October 18.” Well, the time has come. Brit’s finally broken the ice. Less than a year after concluding her mega-successful Piece Of Me residency, the “Toxic” legend revealed plans for a second show on the strip. Called Domination, it launches next February and will take place in The Park MGM. This is the home of Cher, Lady Gaga, Bruno Mars and Aerosmith’s respective residencies, so she will be in good company.

The pop princess shared the good news via a livestream broadcast on Ellen’s YouTube account. After treating fans to a hit-filled remix, she debuted the new promotional material. Considering all of the build up, the announcement admittedly felt a little rushed. Dressed in a cute LBD, the “Baby One More Time” hitmaker made a quick appearance before being whisked away. She probably ran off to get to work (bitch) on the new show. Speaking of, we don’t what to expect just yet, but rumor has it that Domination will feature an entirely new setlist. Pray to the pop gods Brit graces us with live renditions of under-loved bops like “Overprotected,” “Outrageous” and “Hold It Against Me.” And for the love of God(ney) can we please have a couple tracks off Glory (that aren’t “Clumsy”)?

According to ET, Domination will kick off with a pair of shows on February 13 and 14. Imagine getting to spend Valentine’s Day in same room as a living legend – we are truly not worthy. The first leg includes 31 dates between then and August 17. Tickets will be available for pre-order as of October 26 at 10 AM PT. Fans who are subscribed to B’s mailing list will get exclusive pre-sale access tomorrow, so get your coins ready. Speaking of coins, she will reportedly be one of the highest paid divas on the Vegas strip. ET claimed she will net more than $500K per show. That’s quite the payday. Although it isn’t a new album (or even that Pitbull collab), it is good to know that we’ll be seeing a lot more of Brit next year. Check out the dates below!
