Ellie Goulding is staging a comeback this week. The UK siren signaled something was up when she cleared out her social media accounts. Over the weekend she provided another teaser by uploading several photos of cheetah print to Instagram. Her gradual roll-out continued into yesterday (October 22). Uploading what appears to be a single cover, she confirmed that her new track would be called “Close To Me.” Fans speculated that it featured Diplo and Swae Lee after doing a little digging. The 31-year-old confirmed the news today in her latest post. “CLOSE TO ME WITH @diplo FEATURING @swaelee,” she wrote. In addition, the “Anything Could Happen” hitmaker revealed that the track would drop October 24 at 7:30 BST.

She also gave us a sense of what to expect when it arrives. It sounds like Diplo has crafted a synth-heavy bop, and, if the vibrant color scheme is anything to go by, we have a seriously summery anthem on our hands. This is hardly the first time that Ellie has graced us with an EDM-flavored release. Just last year she teamed up with Kygo on “First Time.” Hopefully this means that she has a new album on the way. She dropped her third LP, Delirium, in 2015, and the time is definitely right for her return. Earlier this year the ethereally-voiced siren hopped on Sean Paul’s “Bad Love,” which was a definite highlight on his Mad Love The Prequel EP. Check out the superstar’s teasers below while we wait to hear her comeback single in full!
