New Music? Carly Rae Jepsen Teases “Party For One”
All signs point to Carly Rae Jepsen dropping new music in the very near future. Rumors about the Canadian pop star releasing a song called “Party For One” have been swirling around social media all week and they appear to have been confirmed by an Instagram post which is captioned with those exact words. In it, the “Call Me Maybe” chart-topper is pictured eating pizza and red vines in bed with her cat. (I’m pretty sure that counts as a party for anyone over 30). The news comes after months of cryptic clues about the followup to E·MO·TION.
“Happy 2 year anniversary to the album that almost never was,” Carly wrote in a post celebrating the two-year anniversary of Side B in August. “Thank you to the loves in my life who pushed me for more and that means YOU! New era on the horizon and I feel excited and nervous but mostly just grateful. Hold tight.” What can we expect from the hitmaker’s new album? Well, apart from pop perfection, CRJ is likely to cement her status as the hipster’s guilty pleasure with a collection of cute, clever and slightly offbeat bops. See her announcement below.
