Hailee Steinfeld adds another solid smash to her growing discography with the unveiling of “Back To Life.” The 21-year-old revealed that it would land on the soundtrack for her forthcoming movie, Bumblebee. Scheduled for a Christmas release, the film is the latest installment to the Transformers saga and is shaping up to be quite the blockbuster. And “Back To Life” is just as explosive. The electro-kissed anthem features a shimmering production and some seriously loved-up lyrics. “Our love’s enough, transcending us through space and time. It’s holding up. It keeps you and me intertwined,” the “Starving” singer coos. Everything builds up to the earnest chorus. “Cause I’m brining you back to life. And I know that you’re gone, but I swear that you’re here. It’s a feeling that won’t disappear.”

“I can’t believe this is finally happening,” Hailee enthused in a post on Instagram earlier this week. “This will be the first time I have a song of my own in a movie that I’ve made.” The statement kind of discounts her work on the Pitch Perfect soundtracks, but I can see where she’s coming from. “Back To Life” definitely feels more in line with her solo material. She also co-wrote the track, which could very well land her another hit on the charts. This is one in a growing list of soundtrack appearances from the budding star. Earlier this year she contributed the BloodPop-assisted “Capital Letters” to the Fifty Shades Freed soundtrack. Her breakout hit, “Love Myself,” also made an appearance on the collection for 2015’s Jem And The Holograms.

Hopefully we will get a video for the song in the near future. In the meantime give it a listen below!
