Anne-Marie Celebrates Her Flaws In “Perfect To Me” Video
The hits keep on coming for Anne-Marie. The breakout star is rolling out “Perfect To Me” as the (staggering) 7th single from Speak Your Mind. Originally titled “Perfect,” the single version has been remixed and retitled for radio. But apart from trimming down its running time, the feel-good anthem remains largely intact. As does its important message about body positivity. The 27-year-old makes that the focus of the video, which arrived earlier today. It begins with the hitmaker explaining how her idea of perfection has changed throughout the years.
From there, Anne-Marie poses for various photo shoot — footage that is intercut with people sharing their struggles and insecurities. It will be interesting to see how the mid-tempo bop does internationally. The Brit has had extraordinary success with club fare (“Rockabye” and “Friends”) and pure-pop anthems (“2002”), but hasn’t really shown her serious side until now. “Perfect To Me” couldn’t be more relatable or timely, so it could really bring her music to a whole new audience.
