We speak to the pop star about new singles 'Let You Be Right' and 'Can't Dance.'

Well, here’s a little something to put you in a festive mood! Meghan Trainor has recorded a rather non-traditional cover of “White Christmas” for Spotify. Recorded at Sound Stage Studios Nashville, she transforms the holiday ballad into a jazzy little bop. Think “Santa Baby,” but less creepy. Fans of the 24-year-old’s debut LP (with its emphasis on retro-pop and doo-wop) will particularly enjoy it. It’s nice to see Meghan have a little fun before launching her third album era in 2019.

Of course, Meghan’s Treat Myself was originally slated to arrive in August. The Grammy winner decided to postpone the album until January 25, 2019 in order to record more songs and cook up an “All About The Bass”-sized hit. “I’m in such an amazing place and I can’t stop writing songs,” she explained. “I’ve decided to move my new album Treat Myself until I get everything out of my head and recorded in the studio.” Hopefully, we’ll hear something new before the end of the year. Check out her interpretation of “White Christmas” (below) while we wait.
