Gwen & Blake’s “You Make It Feel Like Christmas” Video Is Utterly Adorable
Delivering a winning mix of standards and toe-tapping originals, Gwen Stefani’s You Make It Feel Like Christmas is one of the best festive LPs in recent memory. (I would rank it up there with Kelly Clarkson’s Wrapped In Red and Kylie Minogue’s slept-on Kylie Christmas). The title track was rolled out as a single last year and it came agonizingly close to cracking the Billboard Hot 100. With any luck, the ruthlessly cheerful duet with Blake Shelton will pull it off in 2018 thanks to a belated video.
Calling Gwen & Blake’s “You Make It Feel Like Christmas” video adorable is a serious understatement. This nostalgic clip throws it back to the 1950s with the No Doubt diva serving full Marilyn Monroe glamour. She takes the stage with her real-life love, who just looks happy to be there. There are also cute skits that find the couple making snowmen, cooking Christmas dinner and relaxing by the tree. It’s as irreverent, cheeky and feel-good as the song.
