From Troye Sivan to Mallrat, Australia has produced more than its fair share of quirky, mold-breaking pop stars. The trend continues with CXLOE. Hailing from Sydney’s Northern Beaches, the singer/songwriter is currently enjoying a viral hit with “Show You.” (It has already amassed more than five million streams). Co-written with brothers Sam Farrar and Max Farrar, the slinky synth-pop anthem crackles with intent and attitude. “Say you can’t tell my vibe but I’m holding on tight,” she sings, making the first move. “Come over tonight, what would you do?”

The newcomer, who is performing a co-headlining show with Leland at The Roxy in Los Angeles on December 3, now unveils a stripped-back, acoustic version of the song. CXLOE’s uptempo bop has been skillfully transformed into a piano ballad, which shows off the full extent of her vocal prowess. It also comes with a striking video. “I shot the acoustic video with Jade Ehlers who did the official video,” she reveals. “It really relays how vulnerable and intense those feelings of wanting to show someone how you feel can be.”

“It’s all one shot and we only did a couple of takes to test out lighting,” CXLOE continues. “I’m very happy with it!” We’re excited to premiere the acoustic video below.
