Edit: You can now stream Leland’s brilliant, instantly catchy “Middle Of A Heartbreak” below. This is easily his best single to date.

2019 has been another massive year for Leland. As a songwriter, he has co-penned two of the best collaborations of the year (Troye Sivan & Charli XCX’s “1999” and Troye & Ariana Grande’s “Dance To This”) and is in the running for an Oscar nomination thanks to the beautiful “Revelation” from Boy Erased. The multi-talented artist is now focusing on his own artist project. After impressing with songs like “Mattress” and “Run Into You,” Brett McLaughlin (his real name) is ready to take it to the next level with “Middle Of A Heartbreak.”

“This song is so incredibly special to me and starts a new chapter where I feel like I’ve tapped into a deeper layer of who I am sonically and visually,” he says of the single (due November 30). Produced by frequent collaborator Jordan Palmer, “Middle Of A Heartbreak” promises to be another emotionally resonant electro-pop moment. It is the first taste of his much-anticipated debut EP, which is scheduled to arrive in early 2019 via Universal Germany. See the pastel-soaked cover art below.
