Gaga & Bradley's 'Shallow'
Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper's 'A Star Is Born' duet 'Shallow' will give you all the feels.

The race for Best Original Song at the 2019 Golden Globes is too close to call with a cornucopia of pop stars in the running. As expected Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper’s “Shallow” was recognized for being the breakout hit from A Star Is Born, while Kendrick Lamar was rewarded for Black Panther smash, “All The Stars.” They probably start as equal favorites to win, but I’m hoping voters will pay special attention to Troye Sivan and Jónsi’s moving “Revelation” from Boy Erased. If quality and sheer emotional impact play any role in considerations, it’s in with a shot.

Rounding out the field are a couple of music legends. Dolly Parton gets a nod for “Girl In The Movies” (a track from a just-released Netflix original called Dumplin’), while Annie Lennox is the wild card with “Requiem For A Private War” — a haunting ballad from A Private War. As far as snubs go, Kesha’s empowering “Here Comes The Change” springs to mind. It is taken from the On The Basis Of Sex soundtrack. Let’s hope it is part of the Oscars conversation when the film is finally released later this month. Listed to my preferred winner below.
