Mariah Carey's 'Caution': Album Review
Here's our track-by-track review of Mariah's impeccable 'Caution' album.

Mariah Carey’s “All I Want For Christmas Is You” has become so ingrained in pop culture that it is hard to imagine the festive season without it. The perky, self-penned bop (we love a Songwriters Hall Of Fame nominee) now stands toe-to-toe with “White Christmas” and “Jingle Bells” as an essential part of the yuletide canon. There is a difference, however. Mimi’s joyous anthem continues to grow in popularity. So much so that “All I Want For Christmas Is You” has just reached a new chart peak on the Billboard Hot 100 — 24 years after its initial release.

Yes, the Caution queen’s Grammy-robbed anthem is sitting pretty at number 7 this week. That is two places higher than last year’s peak of number 9 (the song was not eligible for the Hot 100 upon initial release). Given that we’re still two weeks out from Christmas, could Mariah snatch her 19th number one hit? It’s a long-shot, but The Lambs are nothing if not determined when it comes to adding to their Queen’s mountain of receipts. Revisit the classic bop below and buy a copy of her amazing new album here.
