Maluma Taps Anitta & Becky G For A “Mala Mia” Remix
Maluma made a special announcement from 43 thousand feet up in the air today (December 17). While getting a tattoo, the 24-year-old revealed plans to team up with Anitta and Becky G for a remix of his latest single, “Mala Mia.” The slinky bop originally arrived back in August and received a predictably sexy video. Since then it has been streamed nearly 134 million times on Spotify and went Top 10 in Colombia. His new remix will likely bring even more global appeal and signifies a meeting of some of pop’s most promising rising acts. The collaboration will also serve as an early Christmas gift as it arrives Friday (December 21). Based on a snippet he posted alongside the announcement, it sounds like the reimagined banger is going to be a must-listen so clear out your calendars.
“Mala Mia” will cap off a banner year for the trio. Maluma’s involved the release of his third LP, F.A.M.E. as well as a global supporting tour. He also linked up with Shakira on “Clandestino,” which topped the charts in Colombia and went Top 10 on Billboard’s US Latin chart. Meanwhile, Anitta is fresh off the release of her visual Solo EP. The clear standout on the collection is “Veneno” and its sexy supporting video has been viewed more than 49 million times on YouTube. And Stream Queen Becky G is closing off the year with several new singles under her belt. The best of those is her collaboration with Natti Natasha on “Sin Pijama.” With over 1.1 billion (yes, billion) views, the mega-viral sensation is one of the most-viewed videos of 2018. We also ranked it as one of the very best music videos of the year.
