Kelly's 'Meaning Of Life': Album Review
We review Kelly Clarkson's 8th LP, the soulful and surprising 'Meaning Of Life.'

Given its ratings domination and A-list mentors, The Voice is yet to produce a superstar. That could change with Brynn Cartelli. The Longmeadow, Massachusetts native won season 14 of the singing competition and immediately signed with Brandon Blackstock (who just happens to be Kelly Clarkson’s husband and manager). A record deal with Atlantic Records followed soon thereafter and she made a great first impression with “Walk My Way,” a feisty pop anthem penned by Justin Tranter and Julia Michaels.

The 15-year-old unleashes her official debut single today (December 18) and it is even better. As much as I loved “Walk My Way,” it sounded a little too pop and a little too on-trend for Brynn. “Last Night’s Mascara,” a song that she co-wrote with Jesse Shatkin and Mozella, has more grit. “I’m so excited about releasing ‘Last Night’s Mascara’ because it showcases my love for storytelling in a real, stripped down, raw way,” the rising star revealed. If this is any indication, her debut LP is going to be something special. Listen below.
