Skyward Story Unveils Its “Trading Secrets” Video: Premiere

It’s all coming together for Baltimore pop rockers Skyward Story. With Brandon Millman on drums, Scott Montgomery at guitar and Aaron O’Connor on lead vocals, the trio is gearing up to drop their new album, Reborn. Arriving January 18, the project includes production from Matt Squire (Ariana Grande, Demi Lovato and Panic! At The Disco). They’ll kick off the new year with a tour. But right now, the focus is on their current single – “Trading Secrets.” On the vibrant track, O’Connor sings about his growing passion for a lover. “Cause any night without you is like a year without the summer,” he sweetly croons. They opened up about the inspiration behind the single in Substream.

“Trading Secrets illustrates the blooming of a romantic relationship and that high between two people,” they said. Today (December 20), they put a clever spin on the anthem in the official video. Shot with a group of fans, the Jess Garcia-directed release is all about opening up. In it, everyone shares a secret and dances with the band. The guys shared some details about working on the video in an exclusive statement. “We used a number of fans in the music video, and a thrilling part about that was seeing their first reactions to the song and how much they loved it right away,” they said. It turns out there was a lot of legwork to bring the final product together.

“The video was shot in front of a green screen, or more accurately an entire green studio, which we had to paint with a bunch of volunteers, only to paint it white again like it never happened.” We’re excited to partner with Skyward Story to premiere the “Trading Secrets” video.
