JoJo's 'Mad Love': Album Review
The vocal queen's latest album 'Mad Love' is a bona fide comeback. Read our review.

Christmas came early for JoJo fans today (December 20) when the 28-year-old revealed that she has re-recorded her entire debut LP. Why? Due to legal reasons, the vocal queen’s 2004 self-titled opus isn’t available on streaming services. Which is fucking rude given the quality of the album. We’re talking about a treasure trove of early ’00s R&B-tinged pop including veritable classics like “Leave (Get Out)” and “Baby It’s You.” And don’t even get me started on deep cuts like “Homeboy” and the self-penned “Keep On Keepin’ On.”

The project, which has the very-practical title Album One ’04, doesn’t have an official release date yet but it could be as soon as tomorrow. I’m not trying to be greedy, but let’s keep our fingers crossed that 2006’s similarly-MIA The High Road gets the same treatment. I have several dozen playlists that desperately require the addition of “Too Little Too Late!” While we wait for more details about the hitmaker’s nostalgic endeavor, listen to snippets of her re-recorded debut below and let the memories come flooding back.
