Alicia Keys already has 15 Grammys to her name. However, this year’s ceremony will be an entirely different experience for the hitmaker. Today (January 15) the 37-year-old revealed that she was selected to host the show. She broke the news with a cute video that documented her experience finding out and telling her family about the opportunity. “I’m soooo EXCITED to announce that I’ll be hosting the 61st Annual Grammy Awards,” she captioned the video. “There’s so much in store and I CAN’T WAIT for y’all to see it ALL come to life.” We’ll see exactly what she means on February 10, when many of music’s biggest stars descend on Staples Center in Los Angeles. It is already shaping up to be a star-studded evening.

Kendrick Lamar leads the field of nominees with 8 nods to his name. Trailing close behind with 6 nominations is Brandi Carlile as this year’s most-nominated female. Other big names to keep an eye on include Cardi B and Lady Gaga, both with 5 nods a piece, and Drake with 7. Thus far, we don’t know who will perform at the show. If we’re lucky, Alicia may belt out a hit or two of her own. The “If I Ain’t Got You” legend has been a mainstay at the awards show for years now. She won her first five Grammys in 2002. Those included two of the year’s highest honors – Best New Artist and Song Of The Year for “Fallin’.” She picked up her last – Best R&B Album for Girl On Fire – in 2014.

She’s sure to make her latest appearance another night to remember. While we wait to see what she has in store, check out her adorable announcement video below!
