The 100 Best Singles Of 2018
From "Honey" to "The Middle," we rank the 100 best singles of 2018.

Maren Morris is kicking off the new year with some new music. The 28-year-old fronted one of the hottest songs of 2018 after beating out some seriously talented competition to appear alongside Zedd on “The Middle.” The Top 5 hit dominated streaming services and is up for three Grammys including Song and Record Of The Year. Hopefully she’ll experience the same amount of success with her new single “GIRL.” The track premieres on country radio stations later today (January 17). Fans can hear it for the first time at 5 PM ET before it will be available for streaming online. Written in collaboration with Sarah Aarons and Greg Kurstin, the country star’s latest is shaping up to be a moving anthem.

A press release offered up a hint at the lyrical content – “Girl, don’t hang your head low. Don’t lose your halo. Everyone’s gonna be okay, baby, girl.” Maren gushed about the release in a post on Instagram. “The time has finally come,” she wrote. “I’ve been dying to share this with you all for forever & a damn day. My new single, ‘GIRL.'” The song will serve as the first taste of her forthcoming LP, a follow-up to 2016’s HERO. We got a hint about what to expect on the album in an interview with Zane Lowe last year. “It’s still really soulful and rooted in country but there’s still like these R&B vibes to it and it’s kind of like the first one, it was a little bit of everything,” she teased. Sounds like something seriously hot is on the horizon.

We’ll update our post with a steaming link once “GIRL” premieres. In the meantime, check out the single cover below!
