Demi Lovato joins forces with Luis Fonsi on new banger, 'Échame La Culpa.'

Luis Fonsi caught lightning in a bottle with “Despacito.” The slinky banger climbed all the way to number one on the Billboard Hot 100 and recently earned a diamond certification for 10 million units (downloads and streams). While the Puerto Rican superstar’s subsequent singles didn’t perform as well in the US, they were massive everywhere else. “Échame La Culpa” has racked up more than 500 million streams on Spotify alone, while “Imposible” and “Calypso” have garnered more than 100 million apiece.

With those kind of numbers, expectations are sky-high for “Sola.” The fifth single from Luis’ upcoming Vida LP arrived yesterday (February 23) and it sounds like another hit. “It’s kind of like that happy medium between the uptempo and the very kind of broken-down slow,” the Latin superstar told Zane Lowe on Beats 1. “So it’s like a rhythmic ballad. It comes from a very sort of sexy romantic point of view, but it has that beat that just makes you kind of groove to it. So it’s a really sexy, rhythmic ballad.”

It’s hard to argue with that description. Watch the video for “Sola” below.
