UPDATE: PRETTYMUCH dropped a video for “BLiND.” Check it out below!

This week’s New Music Friday is shaping up to be a big one for boy bands. Today (January 25) is the day the Backstreet Boys return with their first album since 2013. But that’s not all! PRETTYMUCH is kicking off the new year with a new single called “BLiND.” By now the rising stars have proven to be one of pop’s most consistently excellent groups. Delivering vocals, choreography and tightly produced anthems, they have yet to let us down. And their latest is no exception. It is also another testament to the quintet’s versatility. After the candy-coated beats of last year’s “Jello,” they return to a more hip-hop inspired sound this time around.

Over a production courtesy of Warren Felder, Downtown Trevor Brown and Zaire Koala, the guys sing about the power of their feelings for a girl. “I would rather be without vision before I ever watch you leave. Got me feeling like I’d be better off blind,” they sing. “When I close my eyes, all I think about is you.” Danceable and clever, “BLiND” ranks up with “Solita” as one of my personal favorites from PRETTYMUCH. Hopefully this will be the song to launch them to an even larger audience. It could also be their first to debut on the Billboard Hot 100. Keep an eye peeled for an accompanying music video in the near future.

In the meantime, listen to Brandon Arreaga, Edwin Honoret, Austin Porter, Nick Mara and Zion Kuwonu’s latest banger below!
