Stephen Puth Drops An Acoustic Version Of Debut Single, “Sexual Vibe”
Stephen Puth is shaping up to be One To Watch in 2019. The 24-year-old songwriter turned pop star debuted with “Sexual Vibe” in December. Since its release, the sensual bop has amassed more than 2 million streams on Spotify, and the accompanying video has done equally well. Today (January 25), he breathes new life into the single by sharing an acoustic version that highlights his velvety vocals. He has also paired the release with a second video. This one sees the chicly dressed hitmaker playing his guitar while crooning along. It’s a smart move that is sure to bring even more attention to the track moving forward.
More music is on the horizon from the breakout star in the new year. In a press release, he shared some insight into his desire to write songs about love. However, there is nothing formulaic about his approach. Instead, he aims to put a unique twist on each song. “It’s boring to just sing about how you got hurt,” he explained. “I try to focus on the tiny, specific things I can’t forget, things I didn’t think anything of at the time, but that later become powerful, emotional memories.” He also spoke about his goals with music. “I hope my songs give people whatever they need to get through their day.”
