UPDATE: The day has come! Ben Platt’s debut album is available for pre-order, and he dropped the first two songs off the tracklist. Check out lead single “Bad Habit” up top and listen to “Ease My Mind” below! You can also pre-order the LP here.

Ben Platt has already conquered Broadway with his starring role in Dear Evan Hansen. His work with the critically acclaimed musical earned him a slew of awards, including a Tony for Best Actor In A Musical and a Grammy for his work on the accompanying soundtrack. Now, the 25-year-old is gearing up to take over the music industry in a similar fashion. Monday (January 28), he took to social media to announce the imminent release of his debut album Sing To Me Instead. “With a full heart, I can finally announce that my debut album “Sing To Me Instead” will be out in the world on 3/29,” he wrote. But that’s not all!

“The first two songs are out THIS FRIDAY 2/1, as well as a pre-order of the whole album. Let the story begin.” We don’t know much about the sonic direction the album will explore just yet. However, it appears that the lead single is titled “Bad Habit.” Ben hopped on Instagram to announce a pop-up event in New York City that offers a behind the scenes glimpse into the song and its accompanying video. The nightly event kicks off tonight at 7 PM ET and will take place every day through Friday. Hopefully we’ll get a little more information about the second track sometime before it drops as well. In the meantime, check out the album cover in full and details about the pop-up show below!
