Clean Bandit calls on Marina and Luis Fonsi for slinky club-banger, 'Baby.'

Well, here’s some extraordinarily good news. Marina And The Diamonds is relaunching next week! Only The Diamonds are not coming along for the ride. The Brit has removed the fictional band from her stage name (she has always been a solo artist) and reignited her love affair with pop after becoming a little jaded in the Froot era. The 33-year-old describes her new album as a “contemporary pop record” in a new interview with Dazed and promised to release the lead single on February 8 in a social media post.

Marina remaines rather tightlipped about the project in the interview, but has apparently worked with “the most talked-about writers and producers of the past decade.” For some reason, that gives me Electra Heart vibes. (Which is, of course, a good thing). The “I Am Not A Robot” songstress also confirmed that her fourth album isn’t as conceptual as previous works. “I’m not sure what that looks like yet,” she insists, “but I feel like I’ll be able to do it.” It goes without saying that I’m very ready.
