Newlyweds Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin have had a lot to celebrate lately. Last September, the long-time friends tied the knot after their quick, 12-week love story unfolded before our eyes. Today (February 7), they offer us a behind the scenes glimpse into their life together within the pages of Vogue. Posing for an adorable shoot with Annie Leibovitz, they deliver no shortage of sweet moments. On the cover, Hailey is radiant in a cream gown while her man keeps things a little more casual without a shirt. With a couple exceptions, the remaining photos are much less structured. In one, the crooner strums along on his guitar while his wife looks on behind him. In another, they hop on their kitchen countertop for a playful pose.

The accompanying feature offers even more insight into their relationship and how they’ve been getting along. As Justin’s first big interview since he dropped Purpose in 2015, it also addresses some of what he’s been up to since then. In particular, he opened up about his decision to cancel the last handful of dates on his accompanying tour. “I got really depressed on tour,” he explained. “I haven’t talked about this, and I’m still processing so much stuff that I haven’t talked about. I was lonely. I needed some time.” It looks like he may still be taking that time. Although there are rumors the 24-year-old is planning on dropping a greatest hits album in the near future, it may be all we’re getting for a while.

Why? Justin admitted to stepping back from the industry for a bit of a break. “Just thinking about music stresses me out,” he said. “I’ve been successful since I was thirteen, so I didn’t really have a chance to find who I was apart from what I did. I just needed some time to evaluate myself: who I am, what I want out of my life, my relationships, who I want to be—stuff that when you’re so immersed in the music business you kind of lose sight of.” Hopefully he finds the peace and inspiration soon to return to the studio and bless us with more new music. In a post on Instagram, it seems like the hitmaker is teasing plans to drop something soon so I won’t give up faith just yet.
