Bebe's 'Expectations': Review
Does Bebe Rexha's debut album live up to the hype? Read our review here.

While still a relative newcomer, Bebe Rexha has already delivered more than her fair share of excellent videos. She takes it to the next level, however, with “Last Hurrah.” Directed by Joseph Kahn (his iconic videography includes Britney Spears’ “Toxic” and Kylie Minogue’s “All The Lovers”), the clip finds the “I’m A Mess” hitmaker indulging in all her favorite vices before embracing a healthier lifestyle. These include drinking, clubbing, fetish play, car chases and flirting with priests.

There’s more to “Last Hurrah” than mild titillation. Bebe embodies a new kind of the pop star. She’s real, raw and yet still willing to provide us with the kind of dazzling eye candy & edgy visuals that defined pop in the ’80s and ’90s. It will be interesting to see how the 29-year-old’s sophomore era unfolds. Expectations delivered one massive hit in the form of “Meant To Be,” but subsequent singles failed to connect. “Last Hurrah” is off to a flying start on iTunes and Spotify, which suggests she’s back on track for chart domination.
