Cardi B and Bruno Mars are shaping up to be one of music’s perfect pairs. Last year, the duo went Top 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 with their retro “Finesse (Remix).” And they have another massive hit on their hands with their new collaboration “Please Me.” With nearly 29 million Spotify streams and more than 42 million views on YouTube, the slinky anthem is shaping up to be just as big of a success. This week is debuted at number 5 on the Hot 100, and it is sure to soar even higher on the back of the newly released music video. Out today (March 1), the Bruno Mars and Florent Dechard co-directed release is a vibrant and lively affair.

Set in Los Angeles, it sees the Grammy winners host an after party in a restaurant complete with slick choreographed routines and fresh looks. Later, they continue the festivities at what appears to be an abandoned warehouse and while driving through a tunnel. Through it all, Cardi and Bruno’s impressive chemistry is on full display. The hitmakers really should work together more often because they both seem to be having a fantastic time. And they currently have a perfect record. With the video out now and (prayerfully) a performance or two, I wouldn’t be surprised to see them soar back into the Top 3 within the next couple weeks.
