Mariah Carey knows how to travel in style. The skinniest of all legends proves just that in the vibrant video for her latest single “A No No.” Out today (March 8), it sees her transform a subway car into a banging party. Dripping in jewelry and garbed in glorious sequined gowns, Mimi and her fellow celebrants (including her children Monroe and Moroccan) ensure that there is nothing boring about their commute. I love high-concept art. The 5-octave earth angel looks flawless. And she also recorded some additional vocals for the release. Those high notes? Utter perfection.

With any luck, the video will give the single a boost up the charts. The feisty anthem emerged as an early highlight on last year’s brilliant Caution and deserves so much love. I’m also still holding out hope that we’ll get a star-studded remix of the track. In an interview on Watch What Happens Live, Mariah toyed with the possibility of getting Lil’ Kim and Cardi B to contribute verses. Since then, Missy Elliott has also been mentioned as a possibility. Despite Kim and Missy expressing some interest, we haven’t heard anything about an official version just yet. Maybe a surprise release is in our future? In the meantime, give the exceptionally glam video a view below!
