UPDATE: BTS unveiled an official trailer in support of the album. Check it out below.

2018 was a great year for K-Pop as a slew of groups found even more success on a global level. And chief amongst them was BTS. The legendary septet broke several records and enjoyed a history-making run on the charts several times over. Last May, they became the first K-Pop act to top the Billboard 200 chart and also broke into the Top 10 on the Hot 100 with “Fake Love.” They collected their second #1 on the Billboard 200 in August with Love Yourself: Answer. That’s not all though. They continued their hot streak by reuniting with super-producer Steve Aoki on their first song performed entirely in English – the breezy “Waste It On Me.”

And they’re ready to stage an epic return with the release of a new album. Today (March 11), the iconic group announced their latest project – MAP OF THE SOUL: PERSONA. The LP drops April 12 and will be available for pre-order this Wednesday (March 13). The impending release comes just a few weeks ahead of the K-Pop Kings’ extended Love Yourself: Speak Yourself Tour. The newly announced string of shows follows their current Love Yourself world tour and includes a string of additional dates in North America. Although we don’t know much about the tracklist just yet, it is safe to assume that it will house several massive hits. While we wait to learn more, revisit last year’s vibrant super-hit “IDOL” below.
