They Did It! Jonas Brothers Debut At #1 On The Billboard Hot 100

It’s official! The Jonas Brothers are marking their long-anticipated return to music with their biggest hit to date. Today (March 11), Billboard confirmed that the trio’s comeback single “Sucker” claimed the top spot on the Billboard Hot 100. The news comes following an impressive week of streaming numbers and sales on iTunes. At the time of publishing, “Sucker” remains the top song on Spotify’s United States Top 50, and it is the number 2 song on US iTunes. Meanwhile, the accompanying video has amassed a chill 62 million views on YouTube. The iconic boy band is fresh off a week-long residency on The Late Late Show With James Corden, where they delivered their first televised performance of the anthem.

This marks Nick, Joe and Kevin’s first #1 single to date. The closest they’ve previously come was when 2008’s iconic “Burnin’ Up” broke into the Top 5. Fans have been patiently waiting to see if the group would be able to pull ahead of last week’s leader – Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper’s “Shallow.” However, the latter fell to the number 6 spot on this week’s chart. They were also in a tight race with Ariana Grande’s “7 rings,” which is holding strong at number 2 after topping the chart for 5 weeks. Another notable entry in this week’s Top 10 is Cardi B and Bruno Mars’ “Please Me.” The duo’s slinky anthem ascended to number 3. Their latest peak matches the success they had with 2018’s “Finesse (Remix).”
