Sara Bareilles adds her voice to the protest with the powerful 'Armor' video.

Amidst The Chaos is coming together nicely. Sara Bareilles introduced her new LP (out April 5) with the defiant and anthemic “Armor.” It was a dramatic change of pace sonically for the singer/songwriter, but “Fire” suggested that she hasn’t strayed too far from the emotional piano-pop of previous albums. The sound is just a little bolder and fuller, which could be the influence of producer T Bone Burnett. The Grammy-nominated singer now delivers her third gem in a row with “No Such Thing.”

The piano-driven, mid-tempo ballad finds Sara in the grips of the breakup blues and she is finding it hard to move on. “No such thing as over you, I don’t want it anyway,” the “Brave” hitmaker sings on the lovely chorus. “If I don’t let go, then there is no such thing as over this.” Eventually, on the bridge, the 39-year-old has an epiphany of sorts. “When a good thing changes, when the change is staying,” Sara muses. “Only thing to find is what to hold on ’til there’s something else to hold on to.” Listen below.
