JT's 'Man Of The Woods': Album Review
Hot or not? We dissect Justin Timberlake's polarizing 'Man Of The Woods.'

Justin Timberlake and Timbaland are at it again! The frequent collaborators have been hard at work in the studio recording new music. My source? JT’s Instagram account. He posted a video, which shows the pair in the studio clapping along to a slick beat. “Happy Birthday to my brother @timbaland!!!” The “Say Something” hitmaker captioned the post. “More claps that slap soooooon come!!!!!” That’s a pretty good indication that Justin has made serious progress on his 6th album.

It will be fascinating to see how the 38-year-old approaches his next era. Man Of The Woods was greeted with an onslaught of strangely malicious think-pieces and general media backlash, which feels unwarranted in retrospect. The album is uneven, but it produced two top 10 hits, spawned a massively successful tour and ranked as one of 2018’s best-selling albums. The snippet hints at a return to the R&B/pop sound of The 20/20 Experience, which is probably a good idea. He really just needs one smash to turn this around. Get a taste of JT6 below.
