Marina's Unveils 'LOVE + FEAR'
The British pop star has unveiled the cover & tracklist of 4th LP, 'LOVE + FEAR.'

MARINA has been diligently teasing her 4th LP, LOVE + FEAR, since early February when she officially dropped The Diamonds from her moniker and relaunched with “Handmade Heaven.” In a new interview with V Magazine, the Brit explains the name change. “I feel like Marina and the Diamonds was just one chapter of my life,” she explains. “It lasted 10 years, and it just feels wrong to continue under it.” Fair enough.

As for the album, “there are songs connected to feelings of love, joy, and happiness,” MARINA reveals, “and then there are songs that are simply rooted in fear.” It seems that her next buzz single definitely belongs to the former category. The 33-year-old has been teasing lyrics to a song called “Orange Trees” on social media with sun-dappled images of the pop star by the sea. Don’t be too surprised if it arrives later this week.

One song that definitely belongs on FEAR is called “Karma” and it rallies behind the #MeToo movement. “[There are] major shifts in our social conscience regarding the systematic misogyny and sexual abuse employed by powerful figures in the media,” MARINA says in the interview. It looks like there are layers and layers to her new project.
