Anticipation is sky high for new music from Justin Bieber. It’s been four years since the 25-year-old dropped his last album – 2015’s chart-topping Purpose. The LP was his most commercially successful to date. How successful? It housed a trio of singles that climbed to the top spot on the Billboard Hot 100. Since its release, the newlywed has hopped on a slew of equally hot features including 2017’s “Despacito.” However, Beliebers the world over are ready for another album’s worth of solo output. And it looks as though something is finally on the way. Yesterday (March 24), the hitmaker hopped online to tease a new release on his Instagram story.

“This pimpin ain’t easy,” Justin wrote over a psychedelic background. “Y’all better know I’m finna come wit a smash ashnap ya heard.” It’s unclear if he if referring to the start of a new era or a standalone single. It’s also possible that the smash he is teasing will land on a tracklist for a forthcoming greatest hits collection. Earlier this year rumors swirled about a collection called The Best. However, the alleged release date has come and gone without any news. Maybe it got pushed back so that the Biebs could record a couple new songs to spice up the tracklist. Or, if we’re lucky, he is gearing up to drop JB4 sometime this year!

We’ll have to wait and see. In the meantime, check out a screen grab of his promise below!
