The Kings of K-Pop have made history once again. This month BTS staged an epic return with the unveiling of their new project MAP OF THE SOUL: PERSONA. They kicked off the album campaign by linking up with Halsey on lead single “Boy With Luv.” Unsurprisingly, they have yet another mega-viral hit on their hands. The anthem has amassed more than 50 million Spotify streams so far. Meanwhile, the accompanying video has been viewed a staggering 188 million times in just 10 days. Not only that, but the legendary septet celebrated the release with a historic set on Saturday Night Live. And that is all paying off with another impressive debut on the Billboard charts.

Over the weekend we learned BTS would top this week’s Billboard 200. They did so with first-week sales of 230,000 equivalent album units according to Billboard. The achievement nets the group their third time atop the albums’ chart in less than one year. They first pulled off the feat with Love Yourself: Tear in May 2018 and did it once again with the release of Love Yourself: Answer in August. In doing so, they become the first traditional group since The Beatles to net three chart-toppers in under a year. The Beatles pulled it off between 1995 and 1996 with the unveiling of their three-part Anthology collection. And that’s just a warmup. Today (April 22), Billboard confirmed “Boy With Luv” became the group’s biggest single to date.

The track debuted at the number 8 spot on this week’s Billboard Hot 100. In doing so, it becomes the highest-charting song by a K-Pop act in the chart’s history. BTS previously held the record with last year’s “Fake Love,” which hit number 10. In all, it is shaping up to be yet another massive moment for the hitmakers. Celebrate the news by revisiting “Boy With Luv” below.
