The One Direction start kickstarts his solo career with an emotional ballad.

Louis Tomlinson has a heart of gold. The One Direction star, who is still grieving the loss of his mother and 18-year-old sister, heard about an old fella with a bucket list and decided to help him tick off a few things. Their heartwarming adventures are captured in the video for “Two Of Us.” The clip starts by introducing Richard, an 83-year-old widower from Yorkshire. The pop star then drops by for a chat, before escorting the senior citizen on a rollercoaster ride and trip in a helicopter.

“A month or so ago I met an amazing man called Richard,” the 27-year-old explained on social media. “He had a few things he wanted to do so I thought I’d help him out. This video feels particularly relevant and powerful to me. Richard is a fearless man who in light of tragedy still pushes himself to live with as much laughter and happiness as possible.” The video, which you can watch up top, comes after Louis revealed that he intended to overhaul his sound and stop chasing a radio hit in an earlier post.
