LAUV's 'I Like Me Better' Video
The 'I Like Me Better' visual captures a perfect day in the life of young lovers.

After racking up billions of streams (quite literally) with songs like “I Like Me Better,” “i’m so tired…” and “The Other,” Lauv is finally ready to unleash his debut album. He introduces ~how i’m feeling~ with the instantly catchy, multi-layered “Drugs & The Internet” — a song about self-perception and identity. “I wrote ‘Drugs & The Internet’ at a time I was struggling with feelings of extreme emptiness and depression,” the 24-year-old reveals. “I wrote it as a sort of self-analysis for my obsession with the way I wanted present myself to the world.”

“It is as much self-deprecating as it is serious and sad,” he continues. “[The song] flew out of me in an hour. It felt more therapeutic than [anything] I’d written before. As the first song off of my album ~how i’m feeling~, it is the perfect entrance into the next phase of my life and music.” Lauv also dropped the video and it’s his most ambitious to date. Directed by Jenna Marsh, the clip finds our hero being sucked into an alternate reality where plastic people ignore each other a dinner party. (Sounds like LA).
