Next Big Thing? Slayyyter Officially Arrives With “Daddy AF”

22-year-old Slayyyter (real name Catherine Slater) is already being hailed as pop’s Next Big Thing. And it’s hard to disagree based on the refreshingly scandalous “Daddy AF.” The newcomer, who lists Heidi Montag and Courtney Stodden as inspirations, brags about her sexual exploits over brash, trap-tinged production courtesy of AObeats and Robokid. “I been fuckin’ models, I been poppin’ bottles all night,” the demure starlet begins the song. “Playboy in the grotto, put it on your face boy.” That takes us to the simple but very memorable chorus.

“Daddy as fuck, I feel daddy as fuck,” Slayyyter wails repeatedly. Subsequent verses are considerably more explicit (and most definitely NSFW). The breakout star reminds me of Myspace-era Ke$ha mixed with a bit of vintage Peaches. All in all, it’s a heady mix. She also unveiled the “Daddy AF” video today (May 15) and it’s suitably outrageous.
