Madison Beer has absolutely demanded our attention since the release of “Dead” in 2017. The icy anthem delivers a (literal) dagger to the heart of an ex and remains one of the best breakup songs in recent memory. After capturing our ears, the diva dropped her very good debut EP – As She Pleases. She followed that up with last year’s equally biting “Hurts Like Hell.” This year she showcased her versatility by joining forces with Jax Jones and Martin Solveig (collectively Europa) on the club-ready “All Day And Night.” That was just the start of what she has in store for us. Now, the 20-year-old is gearing up to drop her first full-length album. And she’s launching the era with her new single “Dear Society.”

As the title suggests, the song acts as a letter of sorts to the world we live in. And Madison’s message is not exactly uplifting, but it sure is relatable. “I’m a natural disaster, but even after all that I do it’s you who’s gonna be the death of me,” she sings. She continues piling on as she moves on. “You’re bad for my health. I should probably get some help. I can’t control myself, I’m addicted to the hell.” She opened up about the song in a tweet. “Dear Society is officially out. what a strange beautiful & emotional feeling,” she wrote. “this song means so much to me. maybe even more than any song before.” I don’t know about you, but this has me very excited to see what else she has in the works.

Although we don’t know much about the LP just yet, Madison offered some insight on social media. In particular, she made it clear that it will be comprised of all new material. Sorry “Hurts Like Hell.” While we wait to hear more about the collection, give “Dear Society” a listen below.
