Justin Bieber and Ed Sheeran have a massive hit on their hands with “I Don’t Care.” Since dropping last week the summery anthem has stayed near the top spot on US iTunes (it’s currently at number 2). It also amassed more than 60 million Spotify streams. All of this adds up to a strong debut on the Billboard Hot 100. Currently, Billboard predicts the single is on track to soar up to the number 2 spot. That puts them just behind Lil Nas X’s “Old Town Road.” And all signs point to it continuing to grow with the release of an official video. Out today (May 17), that is a wild ride.

Similar to John Mayer’s “New Light,” it makes use of green screens to beam the hitmakers into a variety of unexpected situations. As it opens, Ed is an unenthused party guest. However, the Emil Nava-directed project gets a little more outlandish. How much so? He dons a panda suit and heads to the pool while Justin dresses up as an ice cream cone and runs away from a dinosaur. Blending reality and animation, it’s a cute and fun release. I wouldn’t be surprised to see it go very viral. All of this will only help “I Don’t Care” on the charts. If the duo line up a couple of high-profile performances, they may even climb up to the number 1 spot.
