Laine Hardy wasn’t the only one to win big during the season finale of American Idol last night (May 19). Katy Perry and Daddy Yankee also deserve plenty of credit for absolutely slaying their performance of “Con Calma (Remix).” The duo really showed out for their first televised rendition of the addictive smash. Marking the occasion with strong vocals, memorable visuals and cute choreography, it was a very strong set. And you simply cannot forget that Katy (who also performed “Unconditionally” with Jeremiah Lloyd last night) opened it by wearing one of the largest wigs you’ll likely ever see. What a look.

Hopefully this is a sign the pair will be showing the remix even more love. In just over a month, it has been streamed more than 20 million times on Spotify and is sitting comfortably within the Top 40 on the Billboard Hot 100. However, with the release of a video and a couple more performances, it can likely soar even higher. Need any proof? As it stands, “Con Calma (Remix)” is currently sitting just outside the Top 20 on US iTunes after the performance. Hopefully Katy and Daddy Yankee don’t let that fire die out. While we wait to see what’s next, watch them in action below.
