BANKS Announces Third Album ‘III’ & Accompanying Tour
UPDATE: BANKS unveiled the tracklist for III and explained the album’s title in a post on social media.
A new BANKS era is on the horizon. Earlier this year the 30-year-old kicked things into motion with the release of her hypnotizing lead single “Gimme,” which is shaping up to be another classic in her discography. Since dropping at the end of April, it’s amassed more than 4 million Spotify streams. Meanwhile the accompanying video has been racking up views since it dropped last month. And that’s just the start of things. Friday (May 31), the hitmaker unveiled the cover art and title for her third studio album. Appropriately, the project will be titled III.
We don’t know much else about the release just yet; however, the cover implies something a little moody is on the way. One other thing we do know is that BANKS will promote the album with a new tour. Today (June 3), she confirmed plans to travel North America on The III Tour. “I’m so excited to get back out there and experience this next chapter with all of you. I can’t wait to see these songs that I have been working so hard on come to life,” she said in a press release. The show launches with a set in Toronto September 3 and makes stops in major markets before wrapping up in Miami Beach October 19.
