ZAYN & Zhavia's 'A Whole New World'
Disney classic 'A Whole New World' gets an overhaul for the 'Aladdin' soundtrack.

Zhavia’s breakthrough year continues with an autobiographical single called “17.” The teenager, who recently teamed up with ZAYN to cover “A Whole New World” for the Aladdin soundtrack, shares her journey to stardom on the inspiring bop. “I grew up in Norwalk, hanging by the donut shop,” she belts over Hit-Boy’s bold production. “Didn’t have a car, so we used to have to walk the block.” However, even when the newcomer was struggling, she knew that destiny had bigger things in store for her.

“And I saw in my dreams, I knew I’d be seventeen,” Zhavia sings on the uplifting chorus. “Watching reality spinning around and I saw it in my dreams, I knew life would change for me.” And change it has. After being discovered on FOX’s The Four, the rising star has featured on a Diplo song and landed a streaming hit with “Candlight.” She has also showcased her vocal chops on impressive singles like “100 Ways” and “Deep Down.” At this rate, Zhavia’s debut EP (or album) is going to be something special. Listen to “17” below.
