The Queen of Pop reveals the cover and tracklist of 14th LP, 'Madame X.'

Madonna is rolling out “Dark Ballet” as the fifth and final buzz track from Madame X tonight (June 7). It follows “Medellín,” “I Rise,” “Crave” and “Future” — all of which sound completely different. In fact, the only thread joining them is a willingness to experiment and a love for world music. The visuals have been similarly eclectic. “Medellín” was a glossy, big-budget fantasy, while “Crave” was more restrained and somehow more modern. It looks like “Dark Ballet” will fall somewhere in the middle.

The Queen of Pop shared a couple of previews of the “Dark Ballet” visual and it’s a nightmarish vision of persecution. In the first clip, a veiled Madonna is intercut with religious iconography. In the second, Mykki Blanco is being burnt at the stake. “They’ll all be glad to see me burn, but if I go through the fire, I shall go through it to their hearts forever and ever,” M says in an eerie voiceover. “And so God be with me.” The video drops tomorrow. Check out the haunting previews below.
