Watch An Exclusive Clip Of Sky Ferreira & Sienna Miller In ‘American Woman’
When she’s not tinkering away at her sophomore album, Sky Ferreira is flexing her acting muscle. The multi-hyphenate is equally convincing whether she’s running from cannibals (The Green Inferno), hitting the studio (Baby Driver) or playing a missing teenager as she does in Jake Scott’s gritty American Woman. The film, which is set in rural Pennsylvania, tells the story of a mother’s struggle to make sense of her daughter’s disappearance. And her relentless pursuit of answers and justice.
Since premiering at the Toronto International Film Festival in 2018, American Woman has been lavished with critical praise. The gripping drama finally opens in select theaters today (June 14) and we’re excited to premiere an exclusive clip. It offers a glimpse into the tough-love relationship Sky’s character has with her mom, who is played by Sienna Miller. Sadly, it’s one of their final interactions.
