Interview: CNCO Talks 'Pretend'
We spoke to rising boy band CNCO about 'Pretend' and their debut album.

2019 is shaping up to be a breakthrough year for CNCO. The Latin boy band kicked things off by dropping their first Spanglish single, “Pretend,” and promptly landed a viral hit. (60 million+ cumulative streams and still rising). That earned the quintet a series of honors including being named 2019’s first VEVO LIFT artist and MTV Push Artist — simultaneously. With momentum on their side, CNCO will roll out their next single on Monday (June 24). And from the snippet, “De Cero” sounds like another surefire hit.

Erick Brian Colón, Christopher Vélez, Zabdiel De Jesús, Richard Camacho and Joel Pimentel teased the song in a cute Instagram video this morning (June 19). They played a brief preview, which was long enough to ascertain that their latest is a sultry bop about second chances. It looks like the guys really wear their heart on their collective sleeve this time around. “De Cero” is the band’s third stand-alone single since 2018. Hopefully, the hitmakers roll out a new album or EP later this year. In the meantime, get ready for CNCO’s next hit below.
