The Queen of Pop reigns supreme once again. Madonna has a lot to celebrate right about now. For starters, her 14th album Madame X is a serious triumph. The collection proves that she is still pushing the boundaries of pop and rewriting the rulebook of what we expect from the genre. Not only that, but it features incredible collaborations with the likes of Anitta (“Faz Gostoso”) Maluma (“Medellín” and “Bitch I’m Loca”) and Swae Lee (“Crave”). And her hard work is being rewarded with a very impressive debut on the Billboard 200. This week, the living legend nets her ninth number one on the chart.

This marks Madonna’s first time topping it since she did so with MDNA in 2012. And she pulled off the feat with some note-worthy sales figures. In its first week, Madame X moved 95,000 equivalent album units. Of that sum, 90,000 were album sales. She added another number one to her collection, too. This week, the LP’s lead single ascends to the top spot on Billboard’s Dance Club Songs chart. This makes for her 47th number one on that chart and her first since 2015’s “Bitch I’m Madonna.” The icon celebrated the news on Instagram. “THANKs to everyone who made this possible,” she gushed. Check out her celebratory post below.
