Louise Announces 'Heavy Love' LP
The UK pop star introduces her comeback LP with a new single called 'Stretch.'

Louise kicked off one of 2019’s most unexpected comebacks in March with an outrageous tune called “Stretch.” It ranks as one of the year’s guilt-free (at least, on my part) pleasures and promised good things for the UK pop star’s first album since 2000. Heavy Love, which drops on October 18, now takes shape with the arrival of “Lead Me On.” Produced by Clean Bandit, this is an instantly catchy, summery bop. “You open up my eyes and tell me lies, that I want to hear so badly,” the 44-year-old purrs over Caribbean beats. “I believe you every time.”

The comeback queen takes a stand on the chorus. “Oh I wanna know, what makes you feel like you’re allowed to treat me so unkindly?” Louise demands. “Why are you hiding all of your true feelings? Why’d you lead me on?” It turns out that working with Clean Bandit was a dream come true for the ’90s hitmaker. “[They] were at the top of my wish list to work with on this album and I am so excited about the outcome,” she raves. “The lyrical concept of the song is something I am sure everyone has related to at some point in time.”

Watch the feel-good video, which was filmed in Portugal, below. Louise serves looks, choreography and a little romance.
