Future Hit: Rence & Noah's 'Expensive'
Rence joins forces with Noah Cyrus for an instant bop called 'Expensive.'

After generating buzz with viral hits “Baby Blue” and “Ways To Go,” Rence inked a deal with Epic Records and immediately came out swinging. The 21-year-old teamed up with Noah Cyrus for a pop/R&B-fusing breakup anthem called “Expensive,” which is as catchy as it is relatable. “Baby, I choke when you ask me why I don’t have the heart to give it one more try,” he sings on the chorus. “It’s not that I don’t want to, I just can’t afford to love you.” That sense of emotional fatigue comes across in the moody video.

The shadowy clip finds Rence and Noah going through it in a nondescript motel. He paces the floor in his room, while she pouts in the hallway. Eventually, they come together and look miserable together. Not that it’s all existential angst. There’s also a little choreography from an assortment of dancers (after all, the song is a bop) and a random wolf. Rence is currently putting together an EP. While we wait for that to drop, watch the newcomer do his thing alongside Noah below.
