EDIT: The post has been updated with Gryffin’s “OMG” video. Keep watching (below) for a cameo from Carly towards the end.

Carly Rae Jepsen and Gryffin prove to be a winning combination on their sugary new bop “OMG.” Anticipation has been high to hear the track since they announced it last week. Both the Dedicated diva and Dan Griffith (Gryffin’s real name) boast impressive discographies. And their collab is the perfect melting pot of what makes them so great. Out today (July 31), it’s a glittery floor-filler that draws some thematic comparisons to “No Drug Like Me.” On it, CRJ rides a wave of loved-up feelings for a partner. “No chemical can recreate our chemistry. Got what I need, need, need,” she breathily coos on the opening lines.

“I feel the boom, feel the bang inside my soul, love, when you lay me down.” And Carly only falls deeper into a rush of emotions. “You got me flying and falling till four in the morning. Can you hear my body is calling your name,” she proclaims as the production ramps up for an anthemic chorus, which is euphoric thing of beauty. “Like, Oh my god. I think I might love you.” This has the makings to be a serious hit for the duo. With any luck, it’ll net them both some well-deserved success on the charts. While we wait to see, check out the cute lyric video below and let us know what you think.
