Grace VanderWaal continues proving she is both wise and talented beyond her years on “Waste My Time.” The 15-year-old has been laying the groundwork for a lengthy career since winning America’s Got Talent in 2016. Three years later, the precocious teen possesses a very impressive discography. And her latest single is one of the best of the bunch. Out today (August 9), the self-penned track is about enjoying every moment of life or, more specifically, a relationship. Even if it’s fleeting, the “Ur So Beautiful” siren is determined to make the most of whatever comes her way.

“I just wanna waste my time,” she sings over a warm production courtesy of Ido Zmishlany. “And I just wanna waste your time. We can do anything you like, we can talk all night.” Grace opened up about the song in a press release. “It’s an ode to being young, living in the moment and not worrying about the big picture,” she explained. “This song is me saying ‘I don’t care’ and a particular someone or something can be worth wasting my time on.” That’s not all, either. The rising star paired the track with an official video directed by Blythe Thomas. Check it out below.
